Fall 2018
From Michigan to Virginia
This October LECMgt will be traveling across the US for presentations at two professional conferences. October 19-20, Dr. Roger Mason will be speaking at the annual meeting of the International Association of Emergency Managers in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The IAEM is the largest emergency management association in the world with over 6,000 members. The annual conference is an opportunity for emergency management professionals to gather, train, and exchange the latest theory and operational techniques. Dr. Mason’s topic is Why Emergency Plans Fail. This address will highlight the obstacles to developing and maintaining an effective emergency operations plan.
October 23-25 Dr. Mason will be speaking in Washington DC at the Military Operations Research Society (MORS) Cyberspace Wargaming and Analytics conference. MITRE Corporation is sponsoring the event at their McClean, Virginia campus.
This will be the third time Dr. Mason has presented at a MORS conference. He will be presenting a four-hour training session on designing cyber wargames.
Being asked to present at professional conferences is challenging and rewarding. It provides LECMgt an opportunity to interact with experts from around the world. These conferences also offer a forum for presenting LECMgt’s current research. Dr. Mason will be posting comments and articles from the sessions.
