We follow FEMA’s Threat Hazard Identification Risk Assessment (THIRA) process and enhance it with our own integrated skills. This is how our process works:
- Identify the threats and hazards of concern
- Provide context for these threats and hazards
- Establish capability targets
- Apply the results
We utilize internal and external data collection techniques such as your current emergency plans and threat-related information from your organization and stakeholder groups around you. External data may include such things as local crime statistics, government reports and technical documents such as multi-hazard mitigation plans. We then evaluate the context…how these threats specifically impact your community or organization, noting such elements as time factors, people traffic or security apparatuses in place. Finally, we turn the data into actions that improve your safety and security.
